Japan's Far East 9 Day Wildlife & Adventure Tour 2025

Posted

This year, veteran guide Gen passed the baton to our new guide, Taki, on the autumn departure of our popular Japan's Far East 9 Day Wildlife & Adventure Tour. Joining our peppy Yuka for the second half of the trip, Taki was able to flex his photography muscles and captured some amazing shots of the wildlife guests enjoyed on this tour! Thanks to guides Yuka and Gen as well as Taki for these fantastic shots and of course, thank you very much to our wonderful guests for joining us on this adventure.

Three people guide a canoe through a fallen tree on the Bettoga River in east Hokkaido.
Our adventures in East Hokkaido begin with canoeing on the Bettoga River.
A mother brown bear and her two cubs stand on the edge of a river, balancing on boulders. They are wet, as if they have been in the river.
Let's hope the cubs were paying attention... Or were they just enjoying a splash in the river?
A group of guests and guides pose with oars in front of canoes on the shore of Lake Kussharo. They are all giving thumbs-up, peace signs, punching the air or otherwise looking enthusiastic or excited.
Ready to hit the river!
