Around Daisetsuzan 6 Day Hiking Tour 2026

As Hokkaido’s hot summer rolled in, guests enjoyed themselves on the cooler mountaintops and plateaus of Daisetsuzan National Park on the July departure of our Around Daisetsuzan 6 Day Hiking Tour. There was plenty of adventure to be had, including sledding down snow patches and wading through ponds swollen with meltwater. Guests also got to take a dip in Lake Shikaribetsu to cool off and dodged some wet weather by visiting a farm producing some of Hokkaido’s most-loved produce - melons!

Many thanks to our guides Gen and Yuka for leading guests on this adventure and thanks as always to our guests - among them some of them the youngest we’ve ever welcomed to Hokkaido - for travelling with us on this departure!

Daisetsu Kogen, with its alpine tarns, wild rivers and beautiful forests, is always a highlight for guests.
